Your Croydon Croydon Libraries Where exactly will the āout reachā in Old Coulsdon be?

Consultation has to be meaningful not just paying lip service to legal requirements. This is detrimental to Croydon, so very disappointing!!!!

raphael andrews (vaccined). Croydon Labour Stuart King Stuart Collins CllrDrManjuShahul Christopher Herman Callton Young Chrishni Reshekaron Sanderstead Campaign SaveCroydonLibraries I totally agree libraries are about the wonder of books AND great places for community events, training and wider education. This extra use will also help us keep them open. Iām all for it.

Ian Parker Croydon Labour Stuart King Stuart Collins CllrDrManjuShahul Christopher Herman Callton Young Chrishni Reshekaron Sanderstead Campaign SaveCroydonLibraries If itās such a great idea, why do 2/3 of residents oppose it?

Rowenna Davis Croydon Labour Stuart King Stuart Collins CllrDrManjuShahul Christopher Herman Callton Young Chrishni Reshekaron Sanderstead Campaign SaveCroydonLibraries I can see 'Sanderstead' being sold off, if he can get away with it, the land is worth a lot of money & I see Property Developers, taking pictures & walking around the outside of it in April. I don't trust the Mayor & many others don't either.

Public angry at council for planning to close a āvital resource for communities, both older and younger peopleā due to budget cuts. Library closures not well publicised. ā¦Chris Bryantā© ā¦Lisa Nandy MPā© enfielddispatch.co.uk/fury-as-librarā¦

Louis Coiffait-Gunn Too many thatās why we need an immediate moratorium on cuts/closures and an open & honest discussion with all stakeholders inc users, staff, unions and campaigners as to the future of the sector.

Kamal Shah Louis Coiffait-Gunn Only if itās a discussion about how to re-fund and re-staff them.

"Local authorities say fewer people are using libraries". This is misleading, when investment is made then usage shoots up, as we have seen in Paisley. They are integral to literacy and many more things as Kirsten MacQuarrie MCLIP describes so well here (2 mins in) bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodā¦

Sean McNamara Alan Wylie Kirsten MacQuarrie MCLIP Funny how this is often said by people who don't use libraries. Very rare when I walk into 1 of our Norfolk Libraries - Norfolk County Council that I'm the only person, staff aside. Vibrant places here. No doubt users & staff elsewhere will agree.
