Do you have a child aged five or under? Have you used a childminder or nursery in the last 12 months? If so, we’d like to hear your views on what good childcare looks like and the difference it makes to your family. Our short survey only takes a few minutes. To take part by

Did you know that we offer an ‘EHCP Health Check’ service? It is intended to help parents resolve issues with their child’s #EHCP and provide initial advice ahead of an #AnnualReview. You can find out more here: rookirwinsweeney.co.uk/new-fixed-fee-…

Really great piece of local reporting on London Spy🕵️‍♀️ this morning on how a glut of luxury flats could be forcing kids out of Hackney schools - which is rather different from the council's official narrative. thelondonspy.co.uk/p/have-luxury-…

I submitted a Freedom of Information request to @HackneyCouncil in May. They are supposed to reply within 20 working days. I'm still waiting six months later. This is standard for them. I think they're the worst local authority at responding to FOIs.

S Hassan Hackney Council Us opposition councillors will continue to challenge this too! It’s very convenient for them to blame previous Govt, austerity and their handling of crises, yet their own perpetuate effectively the same. This is about political will - too many of them don’t care

Hackney council has not even delivered 30% social homes in the almost 4000 delivered since 2011 btw Those truly council-owned assumedly even less so

#Hackney Our full support for 'Humanity and inclusion, NOT exclusions'. We want to see an end to inhumane behaviour policies that are profoundly damaging the #mentalhealth, academic attainment and future prospects of our children & young people. 🧵 theguardian.com/education/2024…

Couldn’t agree more! If only ⁦Hackney Council⁩ ⁦Caroline Woodley⁩ ⁦Cllr Anntoinette Bramble⁩ were guided by *evidence* when making decisions about where to invest... ‘FromSure Start to youth centres, cutting children’s services is a false economy’ theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

I agree with Labour MP @torstonbell, closing children centres & youth services are a false economy that costs society much more in the long run. So why is Labour-run #Hackney council cutting these vital services? theguardian.com/commentisfree/… SaveFernbankNursery Young Hackney

‘Labour must help disadvantaged children become ‘school ready’ before it’s too late.’ Caroline WoodleyHackney Council⁩ Residents want you to invest & support vulnerable children. #Hackney’s Children’s Centre nurseries are instrumental to this. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

This is a great scandal. It blights lives, with children and carers being punished for poverty. If the government wants to expand the workforce the best way would be to reintroduce Sure Start. theguardian.com/society/2024/d…

"When gov has rightly identified the need to ensure that all children have access to a quality early education as a policy priority, ministers simply must do more to ensure that places are affordable" DfE figures out today show show an up to 9% increase in fees. The full story👇

“Labour must offer extra support to working parents, including with #childcare, if it is to fulfil its promise of cutting child poverty, the ⁦Resolution Foundation⁩ thinktank has argued.” ⁦Hackney Council⁩ must continue investing in children’s centres theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
