Fast tide this morning on Sandymount Strand for the National Parks and Wildlife Service BirdWatch Ireland Irish Wetland Bird Survey, the last of the season. The oystercatchers and dunlin almost seemed to be caught out by the speed of the tide, hopping and running in as it came up!

Watched a Kittiwake nest this week at just the right moment to see a chick hatch from the egg - the adult kept shuffling about as the bedraggled wee scrap emerged. Even saw the eggshell being cleared from the nest #SuperSeabirdSunday
