Kate Richardson-Walsh OLY I echo your words on TV about encouraging kids to play our great sport. I just wish local councils and schools would stop converting the astro pitches in to 3g football only pitches. So difficult to keep the momentum going. Gold. So proud.
Chapeltown Hockey @katewalsh11 Yup! Only one pitch in Scarborough and that’s at a private school. Luckily the school are happy to support Scarborough Hockey but the council are next to useless in their provision.
Happening so much all over the country, we’re lucky to have @ScarboroughCol1 and their pitch but even then we sometimes have to have a 35mile round trip to play at Pickering when college have fixtures because of no other facilities in scarborough. Scarborough Hockey
