Lost his life this day 17th.June 1941. FO. Bruce Arthur Rogers. One of THE FEW. bbm.org.uk/airmen/RogersB…… On a squadron escort for Blenheims detailed to bomb the Chocques chemical works at Bethune, he was shot down in his Hurricane and killed. Age 23.

Remembering Cpl Sarah Bryant, Intelligence Corps killed in an explosion,Helmand Province, Afghanistan on 17th June 2008 aged 26. Sarah was married to Carl who was also serving with the Intelligence Corps. She died when the jeep she was travelling in hit a landmine #Afghanistan

I took this photograph inside the barn at Tempsford Airfield - a site where SOE agents during the Second World War were outfitted with their equipment prior to undertaking their dangerous missions. Taking in the atmosphere of this barn was profoundly moving.
