Anna M. Apffel, MD!!!! Everything they say is true- the days are long but the years are short. I truly could not have done it without the people around me. Thank you to every person who played a part in this. See you in an OR in Pittsburgh soon!

My heart is broken💔: As friends & family know, my wife was pregnant with our 2nd child, & about to begin her 2nd trimester. A few days ago she had severe pains, & bleeding, and had to go to the emergency room. There, it was discovered that our baby no longer had a heartbeat.

Baltimore's leaders continue to show up in support of our campaign! Thanks to Jermaine Jones for the endorsement! Your strong words mean a lot, especially given your firsthand experience with similar obstacles put forward by hostile employers and their hired hands #Unionstrong

Wow, quote cloud from (de-identified) patients undergoing follow-up for treated cancer 👇🏻 There is so much more to life than what we can see on scans or assay in labs Embodied experience is not as readily quantifiable but then again not everything that matters can be measured

1/8 While rotating on your hospital's procedure team, you are consulted to perform a routine “therapeutic” paracentesis on a patient with cancer. You walk into the room to meet the patient and this is what you see. This finding should generate a hypothesis.
