“On this 80th anniversary, Scotland pays tribute to our second world war generation.” As people across the country mark #VEDay80, First Minister John Swinney honours the courage and sacrifice of all those who served during the liberation of Europe.

First Minister John Swinney visited the Museum of Childhood. At the visit, he announced £4 million for the Museum Futures Programme. In partnership with Museums Galleries Scotland and The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the programme will help museums innovate and adapt.
