First Minister John Swinney and Acting Energy Secretary Gillian Martin met National Energy System Operator board members in Glasgow. It was an opportunity to set out Scotland’s energy priorities, and to discuss energy security, strategic planning and infrastructure improvements.

We are providing ÂŁ8 million this year to help develop community renewable energy projects in Scotland. During a Scottish Parliament debate Acting Net Zero Secretary Gillian Martin restated the Scottish Government commitment to building on progress made on increasing community owned energy so far.
