MSPs from across parties have been raising concerns about the new muirburn licencing scheme. Whilst we look forward engaging with the Agriculture Minister further, it is clear that action - not meetings - is now required to help protect our moorland from further wildfire damage.

The decision not to proceed with the Galloway National Park proposal is the right one, aligning with the views of local communities and businesses. Scottish Government still has a responsibility to support Galloway’s future, and we welcome the commitment to backing its long-term prosperity
