In future long-term space missions, will cell-free synthesis help to supply therapeutics on-demand? We don’t know how space conditions like microgravity affect cell-free synthesis and self-assembly of complex multi-protein structures (1/3)

Everyone wants scientists to dare and think big but the career advice scientists actually get are always super risk averse: "make sure you pass the committee in flying colors" (so break your story down to small papers, don't set difficult goals in your research proposal, etc.)
