The Young Filmmakers Hub have been practising filmmaking skills ahead of their productions!🎬✨ Our younger groups focused on lighting techniques, using the three-point lighting setup. Our older group focused on camera movement by using camera track, gimbals, and shoulder rigs.

Our TTL Southeast learners have been finalising their ideas for their final project ✨🎬 The current idea they are working towards follows a woman seeking a diagnosis for endometriosis, navigating medical gaslighting and finding community with other people in similar positions.

Last night kicked of our 3-part film series event, Heroin ‘Uncut’ – The Films of Peter Carr & the Edinburgh Community Stories Behind Them.📽️ Part 1 was followed by a powerful discussion between Irvine Welsh & Zoë Black, diving into the film’s legacy & the real stories behind it.

Friday marked the final part of Heroin ‘Uncut’ – The Films of Peter Carr and the Edinburgh Community Stories Behind Them. 🎬👏 We wrapped up the screening with a thought-provoking discussion with Peter Carr and Sarah Drummond on the history & making of the documentary series.🎥

Our 12-13 Young Filmmakers Hub group recently filmed their micro shorts! 🎬 The learners had so much fun filming these comedic shorts, and the footage looks great! We can't wait to see what the final product looks like ✨

Our Through the Lens Southwest Edinburgh learners recently filmed their short film 'Last Rite' 🎬 We've been really impressed by the learners' dedication to the film, they went all out using creative techniques to perfect the film's atmosphere and tone. Well done to all! 👏

Our 16-18 Young Filmmakers Hub group recently filmed their short films 'Clear Out' and 'Pink Lady'! 🎬✨ Over the past few weeks, learners have been working hard creating stories from scratch and preparing to adapt them to screen. We can't wait to see how the films turn out! 👏
