The Effects of Noise on Aquatic Life Aquatic Noise 2025 is about to wrap up. Lots of interesting talks, good conversations and some fun outside activities. #AN2022

Fish have a lot to say, and Scripps PhD student Ella Kim is all ears. 📣🐠 Working with the Scripps Acoustic Ecology Lab (Scripps Acoustic Ecology), she's studying fish sounds off the West Coast and analyzing how they're affected by marine heat waves. Meet Ella: scripps.ucsd.edu/news/scripps-s…

Meet the night crew! Our collaborator Joe Warren (Joe Warren) and a team of Scripps Acoustic Ecology grad students went nocturnal to collect deep-sea specimens and eDNA at our acoustic monitoring sites. The data they processed will help us better understand the ecology of this region!

I'm looking for a PhD student to join our research group to study #Arctic marine mammal bioacoustics from data collected in Baffin Bay. Fully funded, based at UVic School of Earth and Ocean Sciences, and starts between Jan and Sept 2023. Interested candidates see the ad to apply arcticnoise.ca/uploads/4/6/5/…
