Seattle Modern Orch harpist Sophie Baird-Daniel after performing R. Murray Shafer's The Crown of Ariadne last night. It requires putting on and taking off ankle bells, hence the bare feet. My first time seeing it done live in 41 years (last was MONDAY EVENING CONCERTS in Los Angeles in 1982).

Tonight we reprise this program from 2020 to preview Seattle Modern Orch's upcoming performance of Kate Soper's Ipsa Dixit. Also featured are Cecil Taylor/Tony Oxley, @AGM_DK, Alexander Sigman on New Focus Recordings and more. Th 9PM–Mid PDT @HollowEarth (KHUH 104.9 hollowearthradio.org)

“In art, the greatest error is not one of authenticity, but of mediocre imitation.” — Aristotle Don’t miss Kate Soper's “Ipsa Dixit” 8pm this Friday & Saturday at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University Raisbeck Auditorium! Tickets & info: bit.ly/40nxMBU 📸: Michelle Cheng
