Our neurobiology lab teamed up with the amazing Living Seawalls crew this week to install 2 new experiments. What a great team of people to work with. Melanie Bishop lauraryansci Brendan Lanham Ze Hoe Lee Steph Bagala @millennial_sci

Had the amazing opportunity to speak at the NSW Coastal Conference about fish communities and Living Seawalls this past week. Such a great group of attendees and speakers to share my first in-person conference experience with!

I've gotten to know the rocky shores of Balls Head quite well, but I never get sick of doing field work here. I'm very thankful to still be small part of the huge Living Seawalls project, and for all the fish and people I've been able to work with!

Another day of fascinating talks (including those from our fellow Macquarie Uni students and academics), followed by student night trivia (we'll win next year!). Congrats to Natasha Garner who gave her tasty talk about habitat "cookies" and sea cucumbers as well! #AMSA2023

Lots of MQ talks today π great talk today Steph Bagala on fish migration on oyster reefs! If you want to ask her more questions about her research sheβs rocking the fish earrings! π #amsa2023 Macquarie University School of Natural Sciences

So many great habitat restoration talks this morning on #AMSA2023 day 4! AMSA-NSMSS 2024 Conference

Congrats to both Steph Bagala and Kristine Faelnar for finishing their wonderful talks at AMSA-NSMSS 2024 Conference ! The Macquarie University School of Natural Sciences #AMSA2023 team have now finished all their talks, well done to all

You may be curious about who's been driving the MEG twitter this week. Well, it was Steph Bagala, and I was very excited to give my talk on seascape-scale tidal fish migration in NSW estuaries yesterday! The evening saw us at the Gala Night celebrating the end of an awesome week.

That's a wrap to an awesome week learning, networking, sharing ideas and meeting new marine friends from around Australia! What a great experience for my first conference π₯° Thanks to the organising committee and contributors at AMSA-NSMSS 2024 Conference for such a jam-packed week! #AMSA2023

What an awesome end to #AMSA2023 last night. Met some amazing fellow researchers throughout the week, got to present my Masters research, and have some fun on the Gold Coast; an amazing start to my PhD journey! Hope to see everyone again in Hobart AMSA-NSMSS 2024 Conference Macquarie University School of Natural Sciences

It's Steph Bagala running the page again this week! I've been in the field the last week deploying my red light-illuminated camera mounts to characterise nocturnal fish communities around oyster reefs in Botany Bay. Hoping for some great footage that I can share soon!
