School is starting up this week! We want to remind our citizens about the school bus stop arm law in Kansas. Kansas law (KSA 8-1556) requires all motorists to stop when approaching or overtaking a stopped school bus displaying its flashing red lights and stop arm.

Seaman School District will be closed on Monday, January 6 due to inclement weather.

Seaman School District will be closed on Tuesday, January 7 due to inclement weather.

Seaman School District will be closed on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 due to continued impacts of recent inclement weather. Since this is our third snow day, we will now use our built-in snow day and school will be in session on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Seaman School District will be implementing a two-hour delayed start for school on Friday, January 10, 2025. If additional snow overnight requires us to cancel school, that notification will be sent out in the morning.

UPDATED STATUS: Seaman School District will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025 due to inclement weather. Since this is our fourth snow day, we will use our built-in snow day and school will be in session on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Seaman School District will be implementing a two-hour delayed start for school on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 due to forecasted extreme temperatures during bus pickup. All bus routes and start times will be delayed by two hours and morning preschool at MELC will be canceled.
