Food waste is a major contributing factor to climate change as well as food insecurity. A great way to decrease food waste is to cook or eat foods before the "use by" date and ensure food is being stored properly at in the refrigerator at 40 degrees farenheit.

Spinach is a great addition to most recipes because it's delicious whether you eat it raw in salads and sandwiches, or quickly wilted into stir-frys and soups. Spinach is low in calories and packed with nutrients such as fiber and vitamins A and K.

Fruit juice is a great accommodation for eating fruit and an acceptable way to include more nutrients in your diet that are typically provided by fruit. Try purchasing juice that says "100% Fruit Juice" and "No Added Sugar" on the label. #NationalNutritionMonth #inseason
