Low-income, minority, and immigrant communities bear the brunt of environmental harm, and we can't ignore that reality. In New Jersey under Governor Phil Murphy’s leadership, we're working to level the playing field and ensure equity for all.

College has immense value for all. But it is perhaps most critical to those within the margins, for whom a degree can make all the difference. Today Brian K. Bridges testified before the state legislature to share how we will keep driving investments forward for students.

We had an engaging discussion yesterday about re-engaging those who began college but didn't finish. In NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education its the Some College, No Degree initiative. Proud to partner with ReUp Education on this effort that has re-enrolled over 6300 students in just over a year.

On Nat’l #firstgen Day, I reflect on my own experience at Francis Marion University many years ago and how it shaped me. This is why I’m so proud of Governor Phil Murphy & his efforts to lift up #firstgen students. Programs like CCOG, GSG, and our #basicneeds work serve these students better.
