#COVID19 vaccines will NOT give you COVID-19. Vaccines currently in development in US don't use live virus. Having symptoms like fever after you get vaccine is normal + sign your immune system is learning to fight the virus. ✔️ COVID-19 vaccine facts: bit.ly/3nm2Wqa

We've been preparing for this variant by working closely with the CDC + have been sending 10-35 random samples biweekly to CDC since November to study sequencing + detect any potential cases for this new COVID-19 variant. There is still much to learn about this new variant.

As #COVID19 remains a threat in our communities, we need to take precautions to keep safe by monitoring for symptoms, finding a testing site near to us if we have symptoms and staying home if we are sick. We want Pennsylvanians to know that if they need a test, one is available.

We are working on ways to increase access to #COVID19 #vaccine + pharmacists already play an important role in making sure Pennsylvanians are protected. Pa'ians continue to play an essential role in preventing the spread of COVID-19 by masking up, washing up + social distancing.

Dr. Rachel Levine (@secretarylevine) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We are committed to ensuring that vaccine is getting to Pennsylvanians as quickly as manufacturers get it to us. Both of these partnerships will help vaccinate most vulnerable residents + people who care for them more quickly so that we can move to other groups in our communities
