Just a matter of days now until we welcome the pupils back. Lots and lots to look forward to in the weeks ahead, starting on Monday with the opportunity to join the top-placed mixed voice choir from the National Choral competition!

What a day for our incoming Y9 to arrive at Sedbergh and make their first journey up Winder! Looking forward to meeting them all in the department tomorrow.

It's been a busy but brilliant start to the year. Here are some of the things we've been up to in the first few days!

Carter is doing a fine job on the Y11 Battlefields trip this weekend (here at Thiepval).

More from Carter, this time at Tyne Cot cemetery as the pupils assemble for an act of Remembrance. He will have the honour of playing at the Menin Gate this evening.

The school's Battlefields trip is always memorable, but next year we shall be incorporating a special performance of the Fauré 'Requiem' in Ypres by a Chapel Choir featuring past and present members, as part of our 500th birthday celebrations. 6/7 Sep 2025 - put it in your diary.

Wednesday night is Pop Collective night! Rock, funk and rock n' roll all in the mix tonight amongst the numous bands. Elvis and Bob Marley look on as our newest band meet for the first time.

A fantastic start to chapel choir 2024/25 with a bumper crop of new tenors! 🎶

Two services for the Chapel Choir this weekend. Yesterday, they sang at a service of thanksgiving for Ned Campbell, a much-loved former member of staff. Today, it's the Commemoration of Benefactors. And 4:30pm, our first Scholar's Recital of the year

Very much looking forward to the Unisons section of our House Singing competition - this evening - with a bonus performance from one of our junior bands in the Pop Collective!
