Faba beans are always a strong indicator of any aluminium at depth. April sown fabas patchy & struggling to nodulate whilst other areas look good. Ideal time to start 5cm pH testing to check for an acid throttle & guide lime requirements.

5t/ha DM (50-60 cm deep) vetch in rice layout . 1st photo 10th Aug, day of initial knockdown. Double knocked-7 days. 2nd photo 13th September (5 weeks). Amazing how the vetch becomes brittle and reduces. Plan drill seed rice in 3 weeks.

Still amazes me how badly gly is antagonised by 2,4-d on sowthistle, even dropzone which is supposed to be less antagonistic Nufarm Australia This is a 12trt trial and shows some interesting brews and outcomes on our key weeds. #aggrowagronomy Albert Gorman Luke Schulz

After what’s been a challenging start to the year, we’re finally starting to see uniformity, establishment and crop growth in #drillrice, looking forward to urea application and some permanent water in the next week. RGA Sefton Agronomics Rice Extension
