NEW analysis by the Congressional Budget Office shows the "One Big Beautiful Bill": 1.) Makes the bottom 30% worse off 2.) Finances tax cuts that make the top 10% in particular better off. This is not shared sacrifice--it's a fiscal transfer from the bottom to the top.

If you want to know why WI School Districts are all talking about Special Ed Reimbursement, take a look at this chart: State support for our most vulnerable students has plummeted at the same time costs have skyrocketed. We've got to do better--our kids are counting on us.

Public schools are required by law to pay for the special education services their students need. Those costs have been rising, and state funding hasn’t kept up. tmj4.com/news/state-cap…

My local schools were very clear: they need 60% special education reimbursement. The 35-37.5% they got from WI Republicans last night isn't even close. The result of this massive miss will be cuts in the classroom and higher property taxes.

NEW: A new Poverty Research IRP survey shows that Wisconsinites not only think lack of access to child care is a problem—they want us to make the investments necessary to fix it. Republicans must approve meaningful investments to support our state's child care industry in this budget.

The need for affordable housing is something I hear about everywhere I go. It was great to see this workforce housing development in La Crosse that we were proud to help support. We're going to keep working to build the housing Wisconsin needs. weau.com/2025/06/16/gov…

If we fail to meaningfully invest in child care in this budget, the consequences will be significant for providers: ➡️ 25% say they are likely to close ➡️ 78% say they will have to raise tuition costs for families Wisconsin can’t afford to not invest in child care in this budget.

The WI Supreme Court has spoken, and now it's time for the Legislature to do it's job and release the $125 million PFAS trust fund, so we can start cleaning up these toxic forever chemicals. Every Wisconsinite deserves safe, clean drinking water.

"I really think that we as a legislature are making a mistake if we do not fund innovative policy to grow and enhance our local EMS assistance," Pfaff said."

Child care providers are the workforce behind our state's workforce. Thank you, Governor Tony Evers, for your continued advocacy for Wisconsin's providers, parents, and kids.

We’ve shown we can get good things done for Wisconsin when people put politics aside. Our bipartisan budget agreement will invest over $330 million for our child care industry, a third of which will go directly to child care providers to help lower costs for working families.

Finishing the Prairie Springs Science Center at UW-La Crosse has been a long time coming. This building is going to help grow our healthcare workforce in Western Wisconsin, and I'm glad our bipartisan budget finally got it done.
