As a member of the New York State Black Legislative Taskforce, we are launching a Statewide Listening Tour to hear directly from community members on how to use funds to uplift underserved communities across New York State. The Binghamton stop will be on Thursday, October 23rd.

I had a great time connecting with our local small business community at the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce's Engaging Electeds Summer Soiree. It was great to network, share ideas, and celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship in our area.

Ithaca Children’s Garden is an award-winning, public garden designed for kids and is driven by a mission to connect children to nature to create a more beautiful and resilient world.Thank you to the staff for having me and for contributing a wonderful space for children to play.

This summer, our Ithaca office will be open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and closed on Fridays. While the office will be closed on Fridays, our team will remain active in the district and responsive to emails and calls.

The 2026 New York State Budget strengthens transportation and public safety infrastructure across the state. For the first time, Centro will receive state transit aid for serving Cortland County, expanding access to reliable public transit in Central New York.

The 2026 NYS Budget supports families by making services more affordable and accessible. It includes a new BABY Benefit to ease early childhood costs, an evidence-based tool to reduce poverty. It invests $2.2B in childcare and funds youth programs, LGBTQ+ orgs, and food security.

My office was proud to join Assemblymember Donna Lupardo to visit the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and learn about the vital work they do in Broome and Tompkins Counties. As demand grows and federal aid declines, food security must remain a top priority in New York State.

I had a wonderful time reading to the children at the Southern Tier Community Center in Endicott. It was a pleasure to promote my summer reading program and hear about the books they’ve been enjoying. Thank you to the center for supporting youth year-round.
