Thank you to Senator Jose Peralta for all you did to raise awareness for the 10,000 New Yorkers in need of a life-saving organ transplant. Your legacy will continue to live on.

Incoming New York State Senate Majority Leader Sen. Stewart-Cousins while asking for a moment of silence: I want to take a moment to remember a dear friend and colleague, Senator Jose Peralta, who passed away tragically and before his time. Our thoughts are with his family, friends & loved ones.

This past week the Dominican-American community lost one of its most influential figures, Senator Jose Peralta. Peralta became the first Dominican-American elected to New York State Senate in 2010. Our deepest condolences to Senator Jose Peralta and his family.

I ran into a wise ex-colleague who's still a state lawmaker at the funeral of Senator Jose Peralta. When asked about what'll happen next year, he says: "Michael, patience. Remember it's not a sprint, it's a marathon." His words echo as I read news stories about expectations in 2019..

We're so grateful to FactCheck.org and Angelo Fichera for helping set the record straight. The senator supported sound science and was proud to help the community access shots during flu season. factcheck.org/2018/12/no-evi…
