If you're into browser agent tech, you've probably heard of Browserbase which allows you to run browser tasks on internet. It gives you VMs in the cloud to run your AI agents controlling browsers there. Super useful if you want to do consumer automation or if you want to deal

This is interesting as a first large diffusion-based LLM. Most of the LLMs you've been seeing are ~clones as far as the core modeling approach goes. They're all trained "autoregressively", i.e. predicting tokens from left to right. Diffusion is different - it doesn't go left to

At The Information event with Stephanie Palazzolo. Just had a chance to ask Vinod Khosla on his perspective of the value of AI Agents that control UI/UX vs APIs. Was nice to hear Vinod reiterating his perspective that natural language interactions with existing apps UX is the way.

Talked about barriers to AI Agents adoption in enterprises at the panel discussion at Customertimes Innovation Day: Manufacturing Edition in Milwaukee, WI yesterday. Reliable and confidential execution of agentic workflows is essential for areas like compliance automation (e.g.

Stephanie Palazzolo Jon Victor The Information Oh my, goodness just keeps coming. Arvind Jain from Glean, in person. Oh my! Arvind works with one of the people who defined my career, quentinclark (ex-Dir of PM of WinFS at Microsoft). Things like information retrieval, knowledge organization, ontologies, is what made me so

TL;DR: we are excited to release a powerful new open-weight language model with reasoning in the coming months, and we want to talk to devs about how to make it maximally useful: openai.com/open-model-fee… we are excited to make this a very, very good model! __ we are planning to

Five lessons I’ve learned from almost 20 years in startups: 1. When important people tell you something that is not true - you don’t have to believe them. 2. Being successful doesn’t default make you a polymath. 3. It’s easier for rich/successful/important people to lie

When we were planning Sentius platform in August 2023, it was obvious to us that API-based automations would become a commodity. However, managing UI/UX systems would remain a bigger problem. Hence, we've focused on building browser agent tech, where we reached impressive 94%

We are hiring a PhD research intern at FAIR w/ Mark Ibrahim Kamalika Chaudhuri to start this summer or Fall! Potential topics: trustworthy and reliable LLMs, multi-modal LLMs and agents, post-training, reasoning, with a focus on open science/sharing our findings in the paper at the end

Writing has been on the wall. Self driving will surely win over human driving. Better consumer experience, far lower cost, more scalability and predictability. If I were Google I’d be investing tens of billions of dollars per year to entrench myself before others caught up.

I've done it 😤 A fast Windows Explorer native SVG thumbnail extension written in Rust, with no dependencies besides the official Windows API bindings. It uses the Windows API to render everything, even with hardware acceleration. Will publish the repo after more testing.

I always learn a lot more from in-depth analysis of few random cases over dashboards of aggregate statistics across all cases. Both projections can be helpful but the latter is disproportionately pervasive.
