Lomé, Togo | March 10, 2025 – The Annual Meeting of Epidemiological Surveillance Data Managers in human and animal health across #ECOWAS is underway! Hosted by WAHO | OOAS ECOWAS Centre for Surveillance and Disease Control in partnership with RAHC_ECOWAS & #HeSP, the event strengthens regional #OneHealth efforts. #WAHO

Over Days 2-4, participants analyzed data quality, regional epidemic trends & national surveillance reports. Emphasis was placed on integrating human & animal health data to enhance #OneHealth surveillance, strengthening info-sharing & outbreak response across #ECOWAS. #WAHO

On the final day, the focus was on lessons learned from epidemic outbreaks (2023-2024) & strengthening surveillance completeness. Recommendations were drawn to enhance real-time disease tracking, ensuring better preparedness across #ECOWAS. #WAHO #HealthSurveillance
