I start my working visit to the #URC2025 with a good meeting with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos. We discussed Ukraine’s budgetary priorities, the EU’s vital role in 🇺🇦 recovery, and the progress of ambitious reform agenda on the path toward EU membership.

I signed a loan agreement backed by UK Export Finance for nearly £1.7 billion to fund 🇺🇦's priority defense project. Grateful to the UK for its sustained efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s military power and enable us to effectively resist the enemy amid the full-scale war.

64% of 🇺🇦's state budget general fund goes to defense - a wartime necessity. But recovery can't wait. We need international support now to rebuild Ukraine. 🇫🇷 France supports Ukraine in strengthening the fight against money laundering & terrorism financing. At #URC2025 in Rome, I signed an MoU with Jérémie Pellet Expertise France to boost 🇺🇦's AML/CFT capacity and alignment with EU standards - a step toward greater transparency.

On the margins of #URC2025, I signed a $50m grant agreement w/ World Bank Bob Saum to support farmers under the #ARISE project. This is crucial aid to restore Ukraine’s agricultural sector. Since 2023, ARISE has supported thousands of🇺🇦farms operating under wartime conditions.

I am happy to meet in Rome a friend of Ukraine, World Bank MD Anna Bjerde. Discussed the sources of🇺🇦budget financing in 2026 and the implementation of joint projects. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, WB has mobilized critical support to meet🇺🇦’s priority budget needs

Cooperation with the European Investment Bank is crucial in mitigating the devastating consequences of the war. Today, I had very good meeting with EIB President Nadia Calviño to discuss ongoing projects. The EIB's project portfolio in 🇺🇦 is one of the largest among IFIs totaling €4.9b.
