Our paper on the octopus genome made the cover Genetics Society of America G3! 🐙 Congrats to my mentee Dalila Destanovic, and the CNAG and @EveSeuntjens teams. Photo courtesy of David Stohlmann! academic.oup.com/g3journal/arti…

Very proud of Prof Lut Arckens, head of Neuroplasticity and Neuroproteomics ArckensLab who has been awarded the Collen Francqui Chair 2023-24 by VUB/UZB UMCOR, and held a very inspiring inaugural session yesterday! 👏🧠 KU Leuven SET Group KU Leuven Leuven Brain Institute.

My first independent review about ctenophores and the evolution of nervous system 😎onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ed… Many thanks Ferdinand Marlétaz and Cedric Finet for the invitation!! And Joan J. Soto-Angel for awesome ctenophore pictures!! University of Bristol Biological Sciences

Check out our updated single cell atlas of Nematostella, by alison cole: doi.org/10.1186/s12983… It was completely remapped on the new chromosome scale genome and gene annotation (PMID: 38092765), but also contains new data and analyses. Great work, Alison!

Happy to contribute in a small way to this methods paper on FISH in Nematostella which was mostly the work of Océane Tournière and Henriette Busengdal (all Fabian Rentzsch lab alumni)! link.springer.com/protocol/10.10…

Very excited to be part of the #CephNeuro2024 at the inspiring campus of Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL)! 4 days to learn about and present our state of the art research on alien brains 🐙

Happy to announce my newest preprint on the early life cellular heterogeneity of the fantastic teleost model the African Turquoise killifish. Special thanks to SeuntjensLab ArckensLab
