Goodbye 2023, not sorry to see a year of family illness and disruption fade away. Delighted to have been supported by some wonderful people and to plan new projects. I haven’t forgotten the pinky promise Elizabeth Day for you to appear on The XX Files on launch

Brilliant, lucid look at dissonant social contract theory. Sobering to think many women work a double shift of both paid and unpaid work but for 40% of the pension of male counterparts. Maybe we should restore women’s pensions to age 60 Debora Price

Interesting headlines today! Respect the menopause or be sued for disability discrimination, firms told. But what about family lawyers - are we going to finally heed this warning and factor menopause disability into our work ?! Family Law Menopause Project thetimes.co.uk/article/menopa…

Divorce rates down to 80,057 for 2022 from 113,505 in 2021. Unhappy sign of our times as unhappy couples take shelter together from financial strife. Also sadly ripe conditions for economic abuse - money can often be the glue for abuse behind closed doors Resolution

Pleasure recording some hard hitting and informative family law material on #economic abuse, nuptial agreements, the challenge of #cohabitation and #menopause on the client financial journey. Working with Quilter and Rosa Schofield of The International Family Law Group LLP is always inspiring.

Excellent #menopause coverage in today’s Legal Gazette as we celebrate #IWD. We need to reflect that menopause is by definition intersectional and the challenges it throws up can be enormous. No woman wants to be placed in the “disability” box. Thank you Maria Shahid.

I shall be trying this approach over Easter! Seriously, Corinne Maier persuasively argues that women need to adopt a more self-centric approach for long-term wellbeing. The motherhood penalty is just not worth it so she encourages women to leave the family home!

Can’t wait for this Charlotte Mendelson - it will accompany me on summer holiday! But tell me, did you insert a comical family lawyer into the plot line -surely every heartbreak needs love’s undertaker?!

This was a pleasure to record since it gave me a chance to talk about the new Resolution spousal maintenance handbook coming out soon! And v happy to be in the esteemed company of Sally Harrison, Anita Mehta and Simon Blain mourning the extinction of joint lives spp orders

Wakey wakey Resolution , let conference begin! With the wonderful Grant Cameron, our Chair, and Victoria Walker 🫖 ☕️

The buzz of #ResConf24 Let the day begin Resolution Juliet Harvey Melanie Bataillard-Samuel

Fantastic to speaking at the Family Finance Forum on the tricky issue of spousal maintenance with Philip Perrins of 1GC Family Law. Reformers want to minimise maintenance and the question is will it live on or just be relegated to a stop gap?! Resolution

The International Family Law Group LLP are delighted to announce that Associate rschofieldlaw has been appointed as co-chair of the 'Publications Committee' of Resolution alongside Farhana Shahzady. We wish them both much success.

Incredible work Kate Muir and so pleased to collaborate with Dr Louise Newson in highlighting the link between divorce and the peri/menopause rollercoaster for some women! Farhana Shahzady Resolution
