My first ever radio show that I hosted was on September 6 1982 when I covered Steve Wright In The Afternoon on Radio 1 for a week whilst he covered breakfast. He stayed late that first day to meet the inexperienced 20 year old me and was warm and kind about my debut. RIP Steve 🙏
