Silage sampling & soil health assessments carried out today with monitor farmer Shane Fitzgerald today. By investigating the soil health we can see compacted layers and put simple measures in place to alleviate/reduce any compacted layers. Silage samples sent off for analysis


Cows loving the spring sunshine in Shane Fitzgerald today. The farm has over 70% calved and over 15% grazed with on/off grazing so far Plan after walking farm again today is get 30% grazed as quick as possible with grazing lower covers to get to target 🎯







Out with monitor farmer Shane Fitzgerald & Kate today, 1st job was grass walk! Kate had measured Thursday last week & she knew straight away the improvement Growth was 83kgsDM/ha and decision to take 2 paddocks out to bring cover per cow down to 200kgsDM/ha. Grass is bombing it!!
