I’m getting v cross about this work shy/sick-note debate! People are off work because they are waiting so long for treatment (eg 18 mths for THR in our area) & are in pain. We don’t need ‘work & health’ specialists-we have them (PTs & OTs) but not enough of them! 1/2

Manifesto by Stroke Association highlighting the need for access to rehabilitation following a stroke. "Currently two thirds of rehab teams are understaffed, meaning more than half of stroke survivors report receiving insufficient rehab support to rebuild their lives" #RightToRehab

Realise the potential of AHPs to support individuals back to and into work, to independence, health and wellbeing. Growth and investment in the economy needs a holistic approach involving AHPs in health and social care in partnership with individuals and families to deliver rehab

Everyone should get the rehabilitation they need to enjoy a full life. We are calling on the new government to make a universal #RightToRehab a reality. Share our new rehab patient's journey in immersive digital, and show how it adds life to years, not just years to life.
