We encourage all Ontarians to take fire safety seriously – your lives depend on it. Too many fatal fires had no working smoke alarm in the home at the time of the fire. A working smoke alarm is not a ‘nice to have,’ it’s the law. #FireSafety

Burn ban in place for Dufferin County effective immediately! The Fire Departments of Dufferin have issued a fire ban, prohibiting all open-air burning. This includes properties with approved burn permits but does not include areas within the town of Orangeville.

Thanks to a $25,000 grant from Farm Credit Canada and the support of local ratepayers SDFD was able to purchase a Jordair Mini-Kat 6 compressor and filling station for breathing air cylinders. Thanks also to Firechek Protection Services for a great install.
