4/ In fact, it's as big for trade as his NATO deal was for defense. Most NATO "allies" have been spending 1.5% of their GDP on defense. They've been freeloading on the U.S. for decades. We paid 70.5% of the total bill. The 31 others TOGETHER paid just 29.5%.

5/ But Trump pushed HARD. Despite enormous opposition from RINOs and Democrats, he succeeded in getting Europe to pay 2%. And then, last month, he got them to agree to 5%! That's a 250% increase in overall defense spending! Partners, not dependents. rodmartin.org/p/nato-finally…

6/ Now it's time to get right on trade. And Europe caved again. Faced with Trump’s threat of a 30% tariff, EU President Ursula von der Leyen folded. She admitted the “heavy lifting” was worth it to avoid economic collapse. Trump called their bluff AGAIN. And won.

7/ Why does this matter? The EU exports €500B+ to the U.S. annually and runs an obscene €198B surplus. They desperately need our market. But they don't buy from us. Even with a 15% tariff, they had to take the deal. They couldn’t afford a trade war with Trump’s America.
