Our response to the recent floods in #Yemen continues, with assessments ongoing. So far, 49,000 flood-affected individuals, most already living in displacement, have received essential shelter items. We're committed to helping families recover and regain a sense of stability.

🚨Daily heavy rains for over a month across #Yemen are severely affecting displaced families in IDP sites. Makeshift shelters are struggling to withstand the relentless downpour, leaving many vulnerable. UNHCR and its partners are responding, but the needs are immense.

An IDP site in the outskirts of Sana'a, home to 200 displaced families, faced severe flooding after over 1 meter of rainfall. UNHCR Yemen, Shelter Cluster Yemen and our partner are working on essential flood mitigation measures, building drainage systems to protect these families.
