The 2023 Red Hat Shelton Challenge is underway! Over the past couple of days, students have been learning about leadership styles, effective communication skills, and more. We’re looking forward to more experiential learning and team building opportunities throughout the week!

Today, students at the Shelton Challenge spent time volunteering at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. While there, they packaged food and assisted in the community garden. We’re proud of the work that students completed to serve the community today!

We’re off to another great start to the week at the Red Hat Shelton Challenge! Students are exploring values-based leadership curriculum in teams of their peers. Through various activities, they learned about effective communication skills and leading with compassion.

We can't wait to see what our students accomplish this week at the third Shelton Challenge session of 2023! They've already put their leadership skills to work at the Leadership Reaction Course, a team-building experience facilitated by NC State Wellness and Recreation.

Over the past few days, students at the Shelton Challenge have been learning about various leadership styles, effective communication skills, ethical decision-making, and values-based leadership.

Yesterday, students at the Red Hat Shelton Challenge dedicated their time to volunteering at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina! They spent time packaging potatoes and lending a hand in the community garden.

Thank you to all of the students and volunteer staff who joined us last week for the final Red Hat Shelton Challenge week of summer 2023. We had such a great time welcoming you all to campus to spend time learning about leadership development!
