Research from Tofaris Lab has led to the development of a new blood test to identify #Parkinsons disease before symptoms occur. This could allow clinicians to screen for those at high risk of developing the disease and facilitate timely intervention. ndcn.ox.ac.uk/news/researche…

Excited to share our paper in Cell Reports Medicine! We developed a droplet microfluidic assay to quantify EV surface proteins and discovered α-synuclein can be a biomarker for early #Parkinsons — using just a few drops of blood. Huge thanks to my amazing colleagues and collaborators!
