It's a bit disheartening seeing some of my favourite male comic artists not getting involved in the discussion around predatory behavior in the comics community right now. It makes me wonder why not?

2/2 “Benefit of the doubt” assumes there was doubt. It suggests the accusers are not being given the benefit of belief. If some of y’all are trying to sow the seeds of forgiveness in lieu of those who were actually harmed, again, fuck off. Don’t take that power away from them.

If we as a community need to hold ourselves and our buddies to a higher standard than would seem necessary in any specific case then I think we should be willing to step up and be diligent. Especially us dudes. (Con’t)

Our peers are asking for reassurance in an ongoing situation we do not fully grasp. We shouldn’t be deciding for them that everything is ok and I think we should listen to criticism when we are shown that we misstepped. Show care to those who need it. IMO of course.
