The Battlefields trip is now on its way. Thank you to parents for your patience with the delayed departure. 🤞for the ferry. ⛴️

We have finally made it to the ferry and currently crossing the English Channel. The students have been brilliant and incredibly patient, more than the staff! 🤣

The students enjoyed the experience of the ferry and the glorious sunshine. ☀️

Last night saw Shipston students laying a wreath at the Menin Gate. A moment to remember.

It’s all so quiet… Some tired students this morning. ⏰ ✅ Breakfast ✅ On the coach ✅ On to the Somme ✅

The students are learning about the equipment and weaponry used in the war.

A lovely meal to end a great day. We have spent the day exploring the Battle of the Somme. 👍

Students are currently enjoying some free time, playing badminton, basketball, football, pool. A great finish to a busy day. 👍

Just left our final part of the weekend - the Battle of Arras at Vimy Ridge. Now heading to Calais for our 17:15 ⛴️ Will keep you updated with progress. 👍

Have arrived in Calais, currently waiting to get through French Passport Control. 🤞

We have missed our ferry due to long queues in passport control. ☹️ Hoping to catch the next ferry. Students still in good spirits! 👍

Don’t forget it is Sports Day tomorrow. All students must wear full PE kit and bring plenty of drinks. Ice cream tokens will be distributed in the morning. They can still be bought on the day with cash. 🍦 👍
