Had a fantastic visit to UCL yesterday, presenting my paper "Losing Their Religion" to a diverse & engaged audience. Great to continue discussions—not just on the paper, but also on Balkan and crazy World politics—at the Housman Room, though I didn’t try the Housman Ale this time

Had the pleasure of having lunch at LSE with Lord Layard, one of my all-time favorite economists. Always fascinating to hear his insights: not just in economics, but also in history, politics, and beyond. We had a great discussion on the Balkans, Albania, and, especially, Kosova.

I was really touched when my students gave me a round of applause at the end of our final Economics of Education lecture this afternoon. It was a small, but powerful reminder of how central teaching is to our academic life and how meaningful it is to them.

It was a privilege to participate in the Riinvest Institute 30th Anniversary Conference: “Activating the Sources of Economic Growth” in Kosova. Honoured to contribute to a panel reflecting on Kosova’s extraordinary economic journey, and pathways toward sustainable development.
