The GMC is the independent medical regulator whose primary role is to ensure the safety & well-being of the public If they are not fulfilling this duty but instead championing a government workforce agenda, should doctors still be funding them?

Take a moment to reflect on the fact that newly qualified doctors are asking for £22 ph After rigorous selection, years of graft and £100k of debt they currently earn less than a receptionist? And I don’t want to hear any “jam tomorrow” nonsense Residents have my full support

There’s an effort to frame this as a basic industrial dispute, when it goes much beyond that. People have asked questions re why the PA situation has inflamed doctors and why it spills into the pay dispute. I want to start with explaining PAs compared to doctors’ training: 1/
