The City of Shreveport and the office of Homeland Security is distributing water to aid families in need, due to a water shortage. With the help of the Shreveport Volunteer Network, the water will be delivered to the Shreveport Fire Maintenance Facility.

BOIL ADVISORY UPDATE: The Department of Water and Sewerage has collected water samples and they are now being analyzed. From there the Louisiana Department of Health will review the results and we could see the system-wide boil advisory lifted tomorrow.

The Louisiana Department of Health has rescinded the system-wide boil advisory for the City of Shreveport. Customers can now resume normal water use.
