And the sun shines now. The absolute days of our lives. Twenty years ago today I was enjoying the greatest night of my life in Istanbul watching us win the Champions League. And then that today. I was 16 when we last won the title in front of fans. And I’m 51 now. Truly wonderful

Didn’t see I’m Still Here at the cinema but caught up with it today. Without question one of the best & most powerful films I’ve seen in years. Just stunning. And Fernanda Torres is breathtaking in the lead role. It’s the sort of thing that’ll stay with you for weeks afterwards.

Thought Grand Slam Track was good fun tonight in Philly. Engaged & vocal crowd; strong fields full of World & Olympic champions; healthy dose of star power; the fascination of seeing a modern great do a totally new discipline & run a 12.57; & all done in less than 2 hours. Bravo

I don’t know a lot about country music - beyond a bit of Dolly and a lot of early Sheryl Crow - but just spent the last couple of hours in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville & I can’t think of a much better Super Bowl half time show than Dolly Parton. Make it happen NFL

Today I was in Bucksnort, Tennessee. Nothing else needs to be said.

Went to Death Valley today to see Tiger Stadium. I’ve followed college football very closely for 40+ years and never knew they kept an actual tiger opposite the stadium. It was 97 degrees for ‘Mike’ today.
