Last week I attended the inaugural #SOOS conference for all things Southern Ocean & Antarctica in Hobart. It was an incredible experience hearing all the new and upcoming science in the field, meeting scientists from all over the world and getting lots of ideas for my own work!

Yesterday I had the privilege of flying over Antarctica as one of the scientists on board with the Antarctic Science Foundation. This was a dream come true and seeing Casey Station was a real highlight. Thank you to all the crew and passengers for making this such a special day 🇦🇶

Last week I joined other PhD students in UQ’s School of the Environment for the annual 3 Minute Thesis competition and was fortunate enough to receive 1st place again! It was amazing to hear about everyone’s research and I look forward to competing at the next stage!
