Non-procrastinators, move right along. This isn't for you. 🎯 This essay may be the single most insightful piece I've ever read structuredprocrastination.com Does John Perry actually see inside my brain? Because this explains EVERYTHING. HT Dean Eckles #StructuredProcrastination

Great advice on how to assess the plausibility of diff-in-diff. Look at differences in levels, use as much pre-treatment data as possible, and put extra faith in studies where parallel pre-trends hold despite the presence of multiple common shocks in the pre-period.

OK #econtwitter, does anyone have a favorite development-related RD paper with publicly available replication files? Asking for 21 undergraduate friends who would probably think it's weird if they saw their professor referring to them as "friends."

I received two paper rejections this week. This signals to me that I have to try harder and improve my writing (and perhaps my logic!). I will re-read these 3 valuable links. economics.harvard.edu/files/economic… static1.squarespace.com/static/5e6033a… brown.edu/Research/Shapi…

1) Tables are better at the end of the paper, at least if you submit to AEJ: Applied (this is a topic discussed often by #econtwitter) 2) Appealing against a rejection by contacting the editor is not advisable and will take you nowhere (as multiple factors lead to a rejection)
