Today is #AnzacDay2023 – a national day to commemorate personnel of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC). Our thoughts are with our Australian Army and New Zealand Army colleagues as they remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in pursuit of peace. 🙏 #lestweforget
It's taken me too long, but finally, yesterday, I visited the REME Museum. I really shouldn't have been surprised by just how interesting the artefacts are, and how imaginatively they're displayed and explained.
Recently members of the DSN took part in a charity bikeathon, cycling 581 miles and raising a total of £1040 for Khalsa Aid
Again privileged to lay a wreath at the Chattri Memorial along with serving Hindu & Muslims from the Royal Navy, British Army 🇬🇧, Royal Air Force and Civil Service. The memorial is for 53 Sikhs & Hindus that were hospitalised in Brighton, but paid the ultimate price. Defence Sikh Network UK
To my followers, please note that I am no longer the official UK Defence Sikh Champion, this is now AVM Munro although I remain interested and engaged. If you wish to continue to follow me, please find my new account which is Celia Harvey
“We never grow up and we’re just full of life,” says Celia, who jokes about people thinking she shouts a lot because she was in the British Army 🇬🇧 She worked her way up to Major General during her 35 years serving as a reservist, championing causes for inclusion and diversity.
