One of the most rewarding aspects of #RSA2022 was the opportunity to connect with first-time RSAers. New trainees have had many challenges to network and integrate into the field during the past few year. Introducing some of them here (plz follow and say hi when you see them) 👇

Read my 🔥rant about Evaluation Letters and why we should GET RID OF THEM. I argue that by relying on promotion letters academia generates pleasers, playing-it-safe, unoriginal, cookie-cutter scientists. Please share and tell me what you think! If you didn’t see Mariam Melkumyan, Ph.D. 🧠🇦🇲👩🏻‍🔬 at #RSA2023 RSoA then you missed out on great science from an amazing trainee and a future leader in the field. Luckily this will not be Mariam’s last RSA ever as she has a post doc at niaaa starting in January. Keep an eye on this superstar!
