This is a big challenge. Our current methods for tracking space objects both active and "junk" worked adequately when globally launched about 100 satellites a year. We are now launching more than 1000 a year 🫤

This antenna was constructed in the University of Tasmania physics workshop about 40 years ago. It was the first large parabolic antenna we operated and despite its modest size it has collected the data for nature papers. I'm looking forward to having it back in regular action again soon
