With Roads & Transport MPS Barking and Dagenham Council & TfL Taxi & Private Hire in Barking checking driving documents, and goods & private hire vehicle compliance. Thanks to the policing team who stopped lots of vehicles, with 4 being seized for no insurance and another driver reported for the offence #DriveInsured

You could receive a fixed penalty of £300 and six penalty points on your licence if you are caught driving a vehicle that you are not insured to drive. If the case goes to court you could get an unlimited fine and be disqualified from driving.

Spent 2/5 with TVP Roads Policing Thames Valley Police Specials in Chesham40+ vehicles stopped mostly for phone & seatbelt offences. Disappointing so many drivers continue to commit such dangerous offences.2 uninsured vehicles stopped with 1 of the drivers also arrested for drug driving. #DriveInsured

15/5 in High Wycombe with TVP Roads Policing Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency for an uninsured driving op organised by #P0129. Officers deployed with assistance of Drive Insured data. 30+ vehicles seized for insurance, licence or no tax offences. 2 arrests, 1x drug/driving, and 1 suspected of multiple burglaries

29/5 spent the afternoon with #RHPT Jewellery Quarter Police DVSA Enforcement Among the 23 vehicles stopped were 7 which were uninsured, 1 for 9+ months and another which the driver tried to insure on the move as they followed police to the stop site. #DriveInsured

Thanks to Kent Roads Policing (RPU) for the invite to their Op at Dartford Crossing alongside Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency . Lots of vehicles stopped with many being overweight or having serious defects, making them a hazard to other road users. Thankfully all vehicles stopped were insured #DriveInsured

I was grateful to be invited along to this big operation focusing on all aspects of uninsured driving and road safety. It remains illegal to ride a private e-scooter or e-bike (with certain modifications) on public roads and police have the power to seize and dispose of them.

Today Southend was the chosen location for a new collaboration between Drive Insured and @EPRoadsPolicing specifically targeting the menace of uninsured driving. A range of pro-active tactics are being used to identify, stop + seize vehicles. Over 10 seized so far #DriveInsured
