And here we go again. 2024 Summative ELPAC assessment to evaluate and monitor the progress of our ELD students. 500 students will be taking the test at Meadow Homes 👨🏽‍🏫🫶🏼

Yesterday was a happy day. We celebrated with our 48 newly reclassified as fluent English proficient students at Meadow Homes. A big success for them. ¡Si se puede! ¡Felicidades! Meadow Homes

Today is a happy and sad day. Many of my 5th graders promoted to 6th grade. I will miss them because it is a special group. And it has been the biggest newcomer group ever in my career. 17 in total! Not all of them are in the picture. Meadow Homes

In May and June we packed everything in our new room. Now we are unpacking and getting ready for the new school year 2024/25. We are creating a newcomer center 💪🏼🫶🏼🧑🏻‍🏫 Meadow Homes

If you did not know, we started the ELPAC assessment on February 3rd. This year we only have to test 475 ELL students at Meadow Homes. So far the students are doing great and I love to see their progress learning English 🫶🏼💪🏼🤓 ¡Si sé puede! Meadow Homes

And just like that, we reached 75% of our MLL/ELD students started, in progress and/or completed with the ELPAC test. Getting closer to finish with our 477 tests I am so proud of my students, but we are not finished yet! 🫶💪🏼

Today we hit 98% of the Summative ELPAC tests completed for our school. So far we have tested around 460 ELD/MLL students. 💪🏼 I am proud of my students. They did a great job! Sue, Silvia, Sangeeta, Pati and Myrna. Thank you for your amazing work! Meadow Homes @
