The CASCADE project supported the county levels engagements in developing Nutrition Investment Case. The workshop aimed at investigating the amount of resources invested in nutrition & also to finally develop a policy brief for each of the counties; Nairobi, Nakuru and Nyandarua.

A great milestone for Bangladesh ,south to South learning with other youth networks like the Kenya youth network will have significant impact to its operation and coordination.

Last week, our #CASCADE project partnered with County Government 047 & USAID Misingi Imara in a 3-day workshop to sensitise MCAs & policy makers on the draft Nairobi County Food Safety Policy, school feeding progs, Universal Health Regulations & other health policies. #HealthierDiets4All

The stakeholders were sensitized through a policy brief, co-developed by GAIN, USAID Misingi Imara & County Government 047, that recommended increased finance allocation to nutrition, primary health care & public health labs & recruitment of personnel to these sectors. #HealthierDiets4All

We supported Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock Development to convene a National Stakeholder Consultative Workshop to take stock of the progress made towards food systems transformation in Kenya and establish a national tracking system on each food systems transformation pathway. #HealthierDiets4All #FoodSystemsKE

The workshop brought together participants from the national & county govts, development partners, academia, civil society & the private sector who identified challenges & opportunities within the landscape & agreed to collaborate to ensure effective implementation of strategies.
